Cool Marines
Since 2006 Cool Marines has been providing support and encouragement to deployed servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan through
care packages, and spiritual encouragement projects. Over the years Cool Marines has enlisted the help of Marine moms and families, community volunteers and churches in this endeavor.
Providing for the spiritual and emotional needs of deployed service members is as important and providing for their physical needs. That is why Cool Marines added the Encouragement Kit program in 2009,
2011 brought the addition of Operation After Action in which medical supplies and comfort items are provided for sick Iraqis. What better way to support the military effort in Iraq than by helping support the people our military gave freedom to.
Calvary Chapel of Salt Lake has been instrumental in furthering the cause of troop support in our community by supporting Cool Marines' efforts. Many of Cool Marines care package events are held at Calvary Chapel in conjunction with their Military Ministry Outreach.
